Kelly- Yes, the entire Maine woods are like our cool hemlock gorges. It is nice to have a little slice of the North Woods here in Ohio, although it isn't quite the same.

...beautiful photo of the fern growing on the tree. Reminds me of what I'm seeing now in Hocking Hills. I love the little cooler microclimate in the gorges.

I'm glad we weren't sick in Maine, although it is no fun to be sick in OH either! It was a wonderful trip- when shall we go back?
